What's your spending type?

Different Money Personalities, A 3-part series

Part 1 of 3: Saver vs. Spender.

June 28th, 2022

Being the owner of a dental practice is a challenge. Your money personality says a lot about how you will handle the business side of your practice.   Are you a SAVER or SPENDER?

Savers take pride in not buying something rather than risking paying too much for the item. They also would rather save money than spend it and watch their savings grow. Where can this cost you? If you wait too long to make an important purchase, are you compromising your team productivity? Savers find it hard to treat themselves. If you are a Saver, it is OK to reward your disciplined behavior every now and then.

Spenders love to give gifts, usually see a deal in every expenditure and don’t agonize over-spending money. Do you buy a new piece of equipment for the office and let it sit in the storage room waiting to be used? Did that equipment sales rep convince you that this purchase would change how your office operates?  Spenders often have trouble controlling their debt.  When you are getting ready to make a big purchase, ask yourself, “will this help me to be more profitable?” Do you find yourself rationalizing the answer? Is this piece of equipment going to end up in the closet?

Let the Pro-Fi team help you get more organized and understand the details to help you create a faster path to attaining your one-, three-, or five-year goals.
